Boundary Marker

A physical object or deliberately placed indicator (stone, post, cairn, inscribed monument, planted tree, or equivalent) intentionally positioned or maintained to signify the limits of property, territory, jurisdiction, or other socially recognised spatial claim in historical and archaeological contexts.
