Active Suspension
Definition
A suspension architecture that uses real-time sensing and powered actuators (hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical) under closed-loop control to alter damping forces, spring effect or ride height actively, with the objective of controlling body motions and tire load distribution to optimize ride comfort and vehicle handling beyond what passive components alone permit.
