Facial Nerve

Cranial nerve VII (CN VII), a mixed cranial nerve that provides motor innervation to the muscles of facial expression, conveys taste from the anterior two-thirds of the tongue (via the chorda tympani), and carries parasympathetic fibers to lacrimal and some salivary glands; it also mediates the efferent limb of the corneal reflex.
