An antibody-based assay that detects and quantifies proteins or other antigens by capturing the analyte with specific antibodies (or antigens), producing an enzyme-linked signal that is read colorimetrically, fluorometrically, or chemiluminescently and related to analyte concentration via a standard curve.

A plate‑based immunoassay format that detects and often quantifies a specific antigen or antibody by capturing the target via antigen–antibody binding and generating a measurable enzymatic signal through an enzyme‑conjugated secondary reagent and a chromogenic, chemiluminescent or fluorescent substrate.
