Endodontic Retreatment

A non‑surgical repeat of root canal therapy in which a previous intracanal obturation is unsealed and removed, the root canal system is re‑instrumented, disinfected and reshaped as needed, and a new root filling is placed to treat or prevent persistent or new intraradicular infection or failure of the original treatment.
