Dunbar's Number

A hypothesized cognitive limit, derived from primate social-scaling research, that estimates the approximate maximum number of stable interpersonal relationships an individual can actively maintain; applied in studies of collaboration and social networks as a heuristic for social bandwidth rather than a strict quota.
