Demultiplexer

A component (hardware or software) that receives an aggregated communication channel carrying multiple logical channels—combined by time, frequency, code, packet headers, or other multiplexing schemes—and routes or separates that input into the original per-channel output streams, restoring each stream’s ordering and identification without altering its payload content.
