Cystocentesis

A percutaneous needle aspiration of urine directly from the urinary bladder, performed under palpation or imaging guidance with aseptic technique to obtain a sterile sample for urinalysis and bacterial culture; distinct from voided (free‑catch) or catheterized urine samples.
