Cyclic Prefix Insertion

Prepending to each orthogonal frequency‑division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol a copy of its final time‑domain samples (the cyclic prefix) so that the linear convolution of the channel appears circular over the symbol interval, thereby preventing inter‑symbol interference and enabling simple frequency‑domain equalization provided the cyclic prefix length exceeds the channel delay spread.
