Crown-to-Root Ratio

The proportion between the coronal length (clinical crown) and the radicular length (root portion remaining within the alveolus) of a tooth, typically calculated from calibrated radiographic measurements along the tooth’s long axis and expressed as a ratio (crown:length : root:length) or as crown:length divided by root:length.
