Correspondence Principle

The heuristic rule that predictions of a more fundamental theory reproduce those of an older theory in the domain where the older theory is known to be valid (e.g., quantum mechanics → classical mechanics).

A guiding principle that a more general or fundamental framework should reproduce or reduce to a less general or earlier framework in an appropriate limit or regime, providing consistency between theories and a way to relate models across scales or domains.
