Context Sensitivity

The phenomenon whereby the application, extension, or truth conditions of an expression, term, or principle vary depending on contextual factors (e.g., speaker intentions, comparison class, background assumptions, institutional norms), so that fixed boundary conditions cannot be assumed independent of context.
