Conservation of Energy
Definition
Conservation of Energy (First Law of Thermodynamics in thermodynamic contexts) states that the total energy of an isolated system is constant: energy can be transformed between forms (kinetic, potential, internal, chemical, electromagnetic, rest‑mass, etc.) and transferred across boundaries, but cannot be created or destroyed.
