Chromatin Immunoprecipitation

A laboratory method that crosslinks proteins to DNA in intact cells, fragments chromatin, uses an antibody to immunoprecipitate protein–DNA complexes, and identifies the genomic regions associated with the captured protein (by PCR, microarray, or sequencing).
