Case Clearance Rate

The ratio of the number of cases disposed (resolved, closed, or otherwise counted as completed according to a specified rule) to the number of new incoming cases within a defined judicial period; used as a flow metric to assess whether a jurisdiction's backlog is likely to grow, shrink, or remain stable, contingent on precise counting conventions and case-mix adjustments.
