Bradford Hill Criteria
Definition
A set of epidemiologic considerations—commonly enumerated as strength, consistency, specificity, temporality, biological gradient (dose–response), plausibility, coherence, experiment, and analogy—used to assess whether an observed association between an exposure and an outcome is more likely to reflect a causal relationship rather than bias, confounding, or chance.
