Alexander–Spanier Cohomology

A cohomology theory defined by cochains that assign values to tuples of points with support restricted to sufficiently small neighborhoods, built as a direct limit over refinements; it agrees with singular cohomology on reasonable spaces and emphasizes local-to-global constructions.
