Definition

An experimental technique in which scale models or components are placed in a controlled airflow facility to measure aerodynamic forces, moments, pressure distributions, or to visualize flow; tests rely on similarity principles (Reynolds, Mach, and geometric similarity) and controlled test conditions to infer prototype behaviour subject to known scaling and interference corrections.
