Definition

A nacelle- or engine-mounted system that redirects a portion of the propulsion flow forward relative to the aircraft to produce a net decelerating (braking) force for landing roll or ground deceleration; implemented by blocking, deflecting or redirecting exhaust or bypass flow rather than by wheel or aerodynamic devices alone.
