Definition

A time‑pH graph that illustrates the rapid drop in dental plaque pH immediately after exposure to a fermentable carbohydrate and the subsequent gradual recovery toward resting pH, indicating periods during which the pH falls below the critical demineralization threshold (commonly ~5.5 for enamel) and thus increases risk of mineral loss.
