A linear mixed boundary condition that specifies a linear relation between a field and its normal derivative on the boundary: α u + β n·∇u = γ on ∂Ω, with coefficients α, β, γ (which may be functions on ∂Ω). It interpolates between Dirichlet (β=0) and Neumann (α=0) prescriptions and models exchange proportional to the field and its flux at the surface.
