Definition

A mechanistic adsorption model for a single adsorbate on a homogeneous surface with a finite number of identical, non‑interacting sites, expressed as q = qmax · (K·c)/(1 + K·c) (or equivalent pressure form), where q is amount adsorbed per unit adsorbent, qmax is the monolayer capacity and K is an affinity constant.
