Definition

An agriculture and forestry concept defining practices, measurements, or management tools used in land-based production and stewardship. It applies when operational prerequisites are satisfied and produces defined effects on productivity, sustainability, or resource condition. It does not replace monitoring and adaptive management and cannot ensure outcomes without proper implementation.
