The movement of adhesive components (low‑molecular‑weight fractions, plasticizers, solvents or degradation products) from within a bonded assembly to the object surface, producing visible discoloration, sticky or brittle residues, tackiness, or crystalline bloom that can stain or weaken adjacent materials.
