Definition

A designed assembly of two or more different generation and/or storage technologies (for example photovoltaic, wind, internal combustion genset, fuel cell, battery, thermal storage) and associated controls intended to operate cooperatively to meet demand profiles, provide resilience or reduce cost and variability; may but does not necessarily include multiple energy carriers.
