The dynamic set of relationships by which building occupants’ behaviour, preferences and physical presence influence the operation, control and performance of building systems (HVAC, lighting, security, controls) and, reciprocally, how building systems, information and physical conditions influence occupant behaviour, comfort, health and decisions.
