Definition

A theory of international trade stating that, under assumptions of identical technologies across countries and costless trade, a country will export goods that intensively use the factors of production with which it is relatively well endowed and import goods that intensively use its relatively scarce factors; under further assumptions factor‑price equalization may occur across countries.
