Définition

Un procédé combinatoire-géométrique qui associe à une variété algébrique un complexe polyédral linéaire par morceaux (sa variété tropicale) en appliquant une valuation coordonnée et en remplaçant les opérations algébriques par des opérations tropicales (min-plus ou max-plus), capturant le comportement d'ordre dominant de la valuation.
