Définition

Une famille continue à un paramètre de homemorphismes H_t : M → M, t ∈ [0,1], de l'espace ambiant M avec H_0 = id_M telle que H_1 transporte une immersion ou un sous-variété A ⊂ M sur une autre immersion ou sous-variété B ⊂ M. Deux immersions sont isotopes ambiantes si elles sont reliées par une telle famille.
