Définition

Pour une suite (a_n) de réels étendus, la limite supérieure, notée lim sup a_n, est lim_{n→∞} (sup_{k≥n} a_k). Elle coïncide avec le plus grand point d’accumulation et décrit le comportement d’accumulation maximal de la suite quand l’indice tend vers l’infini.
