Définition

Le bord à l'infini d'un espace métrique ou géométrique non compact est un ensemble adjoint de points idéaux représentant des classes d'équivalence asymptotiques de suites divergentes, de rayons géodésiques ou de limites d'horofonctions ; il fournit une compactification qui capte des directions ou comportements limites à grande échelle selon une relation d'équivalence choisie.
