Définition

Instrument d'échantillonnage du fond marin en forme de boîte carrée ou rectangulaire qui se referme et extrait un bloc de sédiment avec les organismes benthiques et la structure associée, fournissant un bloc de surface relativement peu perturbé sur une zone plus grande que les tubes carottiers.
