Definition

A strategy (phenotypic or behavioral rule) in evolutionary game-theoretic models that, if adopted by almost all members of a population, cannot be invaded by a rare mutant strategy because the resident strategy yields at least as high fitness against itself as the mutant does. In this dictionary it denotes a stability concept for frequency-dependent selection.
