Definition

The physical mechanisms by which undesired electromagnetic energy transfers from a source to a victim subsystem or circuit—via conduction (common-mode or differential), radiation, capacitive (electric-field) coupling, or inductive (magnetic-field) coupling—producing voltages or currents that degrade performance or cause malfunction.
