Definition

A decentralized governor or inverter control method that changes an individual unit’s active power output proportionally to measured frequency deviation (and optionally reactive power to voltage deviation) so multiple units share load changes without fast communication, using a defined droop characteristic (percentage change in speed or frequency per unit power change).
