Ein distributives Gitter ist ein Gitter, in dem Meet und Join über einander distributiv sind: für alle x, y, z gilt x ∧ (y ∨ z) = (x ∧ y) ∨ (x ∧ z) (die duale Gesetzesform mit ∨ über ∧ ist im Rahmen der Gitteraxiome äquivalent).
