Ein aktives optisches Entfernungssensor-Modul, das Laserimpulse (häufig im nahen Infrarot) aussendet und Laufzeit und/oder Phasenverschiebung der Rückläufe misst, um Entfernungsdaten und Punktwolken zur Darstellung der 3D-Geometrie um das Fahrzeug zu erzeugen.
